DESIGN CONCEPT:
A contemporary architecture with a blend of traditional courtyard form of architecture fostering tropical architectural feel as well as promoting interaction and limited use of natural lighting and ventilation at certain times of the day and particular areas of the facility. There is the element of surprise in every section which is clad with african motives and symbols.

IMPACT:
The aim is to make the hall a centre of excellence showcasing African music and culture. When visitors experience African expression, presented well, they cannot help but be inspired, and a genuine respect for Africa and her people has a chance to grow.

- EDUCATIONAL: The youth will be encouraged to come and learn music both as a hobby and a profession. The production of choral and traditional music will be promoted, as will the making and playing of traditional instruments.
- TOURISM AND DEVELOPMENT: Visitors, both local and international, will be attracted to visit the centre to learn and share ideas. It will further project a new vista of tourism (musical tourism) in addition to the already existing tourist attractions in the Volta Region of Ghana. The building will enhance the beautification of the area and stimulate its overall development.
- ECONOMIC BENEFITS: The centre will create jobs for the community and improve incomes. It will also attract investments into the area, leading to community development.
- MUSEUM AND ARTWORKS: The centre will house legacies of Dr. Amu, including his clothing, musical instruments and other items of interest, plus material from other musicians and artists as a global reference centre.
